O2 is located in North Greenwich, on the opposite side of the river from Canary Wharf. The arena hosts the largest indoor concerts, numerous restaurants, cinemas, and design outlet shops.

The O2 is London’s largest indoor arena, accommodating 20,000 concert spectators. Its recognisable shape, with a white dome with 12 yellow dials, was featured in the James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough. Originally named the Millennium Dome, it was constructed to be ready for the start of the third millennium.

It hosts over 200 events annually and sold over 2.5 million tickets in 2023, making it the world’s most popular concert venue. Due to the number of events and ticket availability, it is the best option if you want to see bigger bands or performers. Popular artists often perform multiple nights to accommodate as many people as possible. Some examples of concerts in 2024 include Tool, Justin Timberlake, Olivia Rodrigo, and Thirty Seconds to Mars.

The O2 is a popular venue for various event types. In addition to concerts, there are also sporting events, exhibitions and standup comedy shows from some of the world’s biggest comedians.

In addition to the events, the O2 has several options for entertainment. Outside the building, you can climb the O2 in an experience called “Up at the O2”. The area also has many restaurants and bars with various types of cuisine, making it a great place for a night out with friends. Hollywood Bowl has 12 bowling lanes for more fun. You can see a movie at one of Cineworld’s 19 screens or do indoor skydiving at IFLY. There are also other options for entertainment at the O2.

The O2 is easily accessible by public transport, with the North Greenwich Underground station nearby. Taking a Thames Clipper riverboat is also easy.

If you’re looking for a large, versatile venue to see your favourite band or performer, the O2 is a great option. With its impressive capacity and wide range of events, it’s sure to have something for everyone.
