Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall is an annual series of festive concerts. The 2024 lineup includes performances such as John Rutter’s Christmas Celebration (5 Dec), featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and choirs; Jamie Cullum: The Pianoman at Christmas (6 Dec), showcasing seasonal jazz; and Home Alone in Concert (7 Dec), with a live orchestra accompanying the film. Other highlights include Carols at the Royal Albert Hall (14–24 Dec), a series of sing-along carol concerts, and The Nutcracker by Birmingham Royal Ballet (29–31 Dec).

The Snowman

One of the most unforgettable Christmas stories is The Snowman, shown on TV in most Western countries. In the story, a young boy encounters a magical snowman that comes to life before his very eyes and embarks on a thrilling adventure filled with wonder and joy. This show is performed in London every year around Christmas time and is a great opportunity to see it live.

Raymond Gubbay Christmas Festival

The Raymond Gubbay Christmas Festival is an annual series of Christmas concerts held at the Barbican Centre in London. Batman Unmasked exhibition

The exhibition celebrates the 85th anniversary of Batman. This immersive experience features original props, vehicles, and costumes from Batman films spanning 1989 to 2022, providing an in-depth overview of Batman’s cinematic history. Explore nine themed rooms, including the Wayne Manor Library, The Batcave, Batman Heroes, The Joker’s Room, Arkham Maze, Rogues’ Gallery, Vehicle Bunker, Interactive Space, and the Batman Unmasked Retail Store.

Love Actually

A festive event features two showings of the beloved Christmas movie alongside themed activities throughout the day. The first screening kicks off at 1 PM with a lively brunch featuring sing-alongs, a live host, prizes, dance-offs, and balloon drops, paired with festive dishes like pigs in blankets, hotdogs, nachos (vegan options available), and mulled wine. The second showing, starting at 7:30 PM, includes costume competitions, snow machines, and treats like mince pies.

The Great Christmas Feast is an immersive event in London that combines dining and theatre, bringing Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to life. Versailles: Science and Splendour

The Science Museum in London is hosting Versailles: Science and Splendour. New Year’s Eve Fireworks

New Year’s Eve fireworks are one of the major events in London annually. While the fireworks are televised, they are going to be far more memorable when seeing them in person. There are going to be crowds and you’ll need a ticket, so be prepared. There are also alternative ways to see the fireworks, for example, on a Thames Cruise with Fireworks on board the Jupiter Clipper.
