Wimbledon has concluded for this year, and winners have been found in all categories. This year’s tournament was again full of great tennis matches, exceptional weather, plenty of food and drinks and in general, good times at the tennis centre.
Carlos Alcaraz vs. Fabio Fognini on the first round
The men’s final this year was between the number 1 and number 2 players in the world: Jannik Sinner from Italy and Carlos Alcaraz from Spain. Sinner managed to edge out Alcaraz in 4 sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 and 6-4.
Yesterday’s women’s final was much more lopsided than Iga Swiatek beat Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0, a first since the 1988 French Open when Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva with the same scoreline.
