Flowers – Flora in contemporary art & culture

The exhibition explores the influence of flowers on art and culture through 500 works, including large-scale installations, photography, fashion, and design. Highlights include Rebecca Louise Law’s installation featuring 100,000 dried flowers and Miguel Chevalier’s digital interactive piece. It also features collaborations, such as Marimekko and the FEP Foundation’s Flora Imaginaria photography showcase. Advance booking is recommended.

The Other Art Fair

The event has featured over 10,000 artists and more than 100,000 artworks. The exhibition at The Truman Brewery combines affordable and original art with immersive installations, live performances, DJs, and a fully stocked bar, showcasing over 170 independent artists.

International Women’s Day

The theme of International Women’s Day 2025 is “Accelerate Action”, encouraging a shift from words to action toward a more equitable and diverse world. The Women of the World (WOW) Festival is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a special event, featuring activist Angela Davis as the keynote speaker. The lineup also includes Annie Lennox, Sandi Toksvig, and Liz Carr, alongside musical performances by Anoushka Shankar, Errollyn Wallen, and Isobel Waller-Bridge. The event will be hosted by WOW’s founder, Jude Kelly, and will feature speeches, discussions, and performances.

Affodable Art Fair

Affordable Art Fair Battersea Spring 2025 offers the opportunity to experience the joy of collecting art. Taking place in March, the event showcases thousands of affordable contemporary artworks, with prices starting from £100. Carefully selected galleries from the UK and around the world will be present.

Country 2 Country Music Festival

Europe’s largest country music festival brings three days of top artists and rising talents from Nashville, the UK, and Europe to London, Glasgow, and Belfast. The event is held at The O2 in North Greenwich, and you can get a 3-day ticket for the whole event or single day tickets for Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

St Patrick’s Day Parade

London celebrates St Patrick’s Day with a parade, where festivities continue with music, dance, and family-friendly activities. The Grand Marshals of the parade are Katie-George Dunlevy and Kellie Harrington, and the event is hosted by DJ Tara Kumar. The program also includes the St Patrick’s Day Film Festival, showcasing Irish short films on the theme of sustainability.

Head of the River Race

The Head of the River Race is a prestigious against-the-clock rowing competition that takes place every year on the historic River Thames in London, England. This thrilling event sees teams of rowers known as eights competing against each other. It’s just one of the exciting rowing races held on the River Thames, including the Schools’ Head of the River Race, Women’s Head of the River Race, and Veterans’ Head of the River Race, each adding their unique charm to the vibrant rowing culture of the city.

Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition

The exhibition combines 8-metre-high 360° projections, virtual reality, an interactive metaverse experience, and a world-premiere hologram room showcasing the full mummification process of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Explore original Egyptian artefacts and meticulously crafted replicas sourced directly from collections in Cairo. Through cutting-edge technology, ancient Egypt comes to life, transporting visitors to the era of the pharaohs, mystical tombs, dazzling golden treasures, and the mysteries of an ancient civilisation.

In the dark

An immersive sound experience in complete darkness transports both the audience and musicians into a world of music without visual distractions. The space is filled with sound, with no prior knowledge of the pieces or performers—everything is revealed only after the performance ends. Similar to London’s Dans Le Noir restaurant, this experience shifts the focus to music instead of food. A small amount of natural light is available for those who need it, but for full immersion, visitors can use a sleep mask provided upon arrival. The experience is available in two locations.

Grayson Perry: Delusions of Grandeur

The exhibition presents over 40 new works and is the museum’s largest contemporary art showcase. Perry explores the relationship between craftsmanship and digitalization, the influence of outsider art, and the significance of creating and collecting art. The exhibition includes works by Aloïse Corbaz and Madge Gill, whose work inspired him to connect outsider art with his own childhood experiences. In honor of his 65th birthday, he also examines the gendered nature of decoration and the role of the artist in the future.
