What to expect

M&M's London is the brand's flagship store and the world's biggest candy store at Leicester Square. It's a multi-floor candy emporium that's as much an attraction as a shop. The highlight is the colour wall, where you fill bags with M&M's in any shade you like, alongside floors of M&M's-branded merchandise from clothing and homeware to gifts and souvenirs. With colourful displays and photo opportunities throughout, it's free to walk around and a reliable hit with families and visitors.

The store

The shop opened in June 2011 as the first M&M's World in Europe, drawing more than 28,000 people on its opening day. It runs to roughly 35,000 square feet across four levels, with a ground floor, mezzanine and two basement floors. The W London hotel sits above the store on the edge of Leicester Square.

Good to know

Entry is free and there's no need to book. It stays open until 11pm most nights, which makes it one of the few things still going after a West End show, though Sunday hours are much shorter. Weekend afternoons are the busiest; early on a weekday is far calmer. The pick-and-mix colour wall is priced by weight, so it's easy to spend more than you meant to.
