A Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare's Globe in London, on the banks of the Thames, is a reconstruction of a theatre from Shakespeare's time and regularly stages Shakespeare's plays. A Midsummer Night's Dream is set during a night when the boundary between everyday life and the unusual begins to blur. On the eve of a royal wedding, a group of amateur actors prepare for a performance, while a group of young lovers enter the forest and encounter fairy-like figures. Misunderstandings follow, relationships change, and by morning the situation has transformed. The area around Shakespeare's Globe is also one of the places we would definitely recommend visiting on a trip to London.
